April… May… Gan

When I saw that it was May 1st today, it reminded me of  a story from college. One of our dorm friends brought one of his friends to our room one day. My roommate and I had a dry erase board on the outside of our door and it had our names on it. This was the first conversation this friend, I believe we called him Mooch, and I had:

Mooch: Is your sister's name April?
Me: Ummmm... No....
Mooch: Oh, because it would be cool if your sister's name was April. Because then your mom could yell out "April, May, Gan" when she wanted you two

Ummmm... okay... I don't know why this story has always stuck with me, it was such a random first conversation!

I have been wanting to get back into blogging for quite some time now. I'd like to say that life is crazy and there is so much going on. But... let's face it... I am just lazy... A few updates:

• My little princess was born on October 3, 2013. She is the sweetest, happiest, easiest baby EVER. I cannot believe that she will be 7 months old in just a few days!

• My work is amazing. When I came back from maternity leave they came up with a way to shorten my commute from 55 miles (one way in the crazy LA traffic) to 15 miles (and I don't even have to get on a freeway)!
• My beautiful niece was born on February 26, 2013.

• My bestie had her sweet baby girl on April 2, 2013.
• I have become addicted to that stupid Candy Crush game - I am very disappointed in myself for this.
• I turned 30 - I am still not sure how that even happened!

Yep - that's about it. You really haven't missed out on much at all. Hopefully I will be able to get into the swing of things and take some time to journal out my life - I'd really hate to forget all of the sweet little moments that have been happening lately...
