Five on Friday

Today I thought I'd like up with the above lovely ladies for Five on Friday!

{ONE}

The Little Miss decided to wake up at 4:22 this morning. And of course it's my day off, and of course I couldn't fall back asleep (but she sure did!)... So I decided to embrace my day a bit earlier than planned. I've already started laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, and caught up on my DVRd SYTYCD and it's not even 6:30 yet!

{TWO}

MJs first birthday party planning is in full swing! Last week I started a guest list and it grew a life of its own! Somehow its has 94 people on it! NINETY FOUR people! That's almost more than my wedding guest list! Needless to say, that list will be whittled down a lot in the next few days. The theme is going to be Pink Lemonade Stand, and thanks to the lovely people at Home Depot and Pinterest, Mom and I were able to build this over the weekend:

{THREE}

My mom is insanely talented. I can only hope that one day I can do half the things she does. It was my nieces third birthday a few weeks ago and my mom made her this cake:

Seriously people. She has never taken a class. She learned how to use fondant from YouTube. Probably because she is an amateur, we got back to her house after running errands all day and discovered this (at 10:30 the night before the party):

But don't you worry, Mom prevailed. We got up super early the morning of the party and were able to piece together a new cake that still looked incredible:

I am so so sad that summer is coming to an end. I like the idea of Fall and the way jeans, boots, and scarves look on other people, but I am just not a fan. Give me the sun, flip flops, and dresses any day!

{FIVE}

When I picked MJ up from daycare last night, I immediately noticed that they gave her pigtails. PIGTAILS!
